Reflecting on 2016

We are one week away from 2016 coming to an end and I can't help but gather my thoughts and reflect.

As a company we have made some major strides in our industry carving out a niche market and being the best at what we do.

It all started in 2011 when Sentinel Security Inc. decided to completely rebrand and rebuild into a premier security service provider. To do so a complete rebuild would take effect resulting in change of focus, parting ways with existing clientele, bringing on new management and most importantly hiring only the most qualified professionals.

Sounds pretty crazy doesn't it? It's not like Sentinel wasn't a profitable company, it certainly was. The problem was that Sentinel was like every other security company offering multiple services trying to be the best at everything.

The reality is that it's nearly impossible to be the the best at everything. It's more attainable to pick 1 or 2 areas and strive to be the best at them. Which is exactly what happened. With the rebranding of the company Sentinel Security Plus was birthed and chose to focus on two key areas; Corporate Events and Close Protection.

Today Sentinel represents some of the biggest corporate brands in the GTA and continues to grow as a leading premium security agency.

With that said this year we partnered with many new clientele in all areas of the corporate industry ranging from hotels, event spaces, to event planners, restaurants, film studios, etc. With new client growth Sentinel screened more than 15 thousand resumes with a primary goal in finding the best personnel to join our elite team.

These are exciting times for Sentinel. The journey has been a slow one with hundreds of obstacles to overcome over the years, but in that same light a very productive one as well as we pass pivotal milestones that continue to set us apart as true leaders in our industry.

As I sit back and reflect I can't help but smile knowing that we are truly providing a quality service in our city, that we are doing something unique and special, that we are creating a service that our great city deserves and has never seen before and we do this together....as a team.
