Humans of Sentinel Part 8 of 10

Over the last several months we have been providing you with an insiders glimpse into our personnel.

One of the most common questions that we are asked almost on a daily basis is in regards to our people. Why Sentinel? What makes you different from any other company? What makes your personnel so special?

Finding the right person to represent Sentinel to the standards we have set have been a challenge. We screen through hundreds of resumes on a weekly basis and conduct weekly interviews in the hopes of finding the right fit. The end result is quite rewarding and exciting as we move one step closer to not just saying were leaders in our industry, but by backing it up with proof.

To have a small army of incredibly qualified professionals, we need a good foundation. The vision has to be clear from the top and trickle down right down to the front lines.

Naveed Roberts has been with Sentinel Security Plus from Day 1. Along with Naveed's experience in the Corporate world, Naveed bring's a wealth of experience and professionalism to Sentinel Security's corporate event sector.

Naveed oversees the Sentinel Security Team at the Four Seasons Hotel's prestigious lounge dbar. The Four Seasons is one of the most prestigious hotels in Toronto and plays a large role in the way service is delivered and adhered to.

Naveed's brings his "A" game every time he shows up. His thirst and willingness to go above and beyond is much desired. In a few short words, Naveed embodies and captures the true spirit of Sentinel in ensuring that every event worked leaves a positive long lasting impression.

Naveed started off in security at a pharmaceutical company right after graduating Sheridan college in Sept. 2006 with G4S. Shortly after by demonstrating a strong work ethic, Naveed was promoted to a shift supervisor.

In 2008 Naveed was looking to add more experience to his profile in the security industry and was hired by Garda then know as (CATSA) as a screening officer at Pearson airport.

In the summer of 2010, Naveed decided to change careers and moved into the world of finance. Naveed started off as a PPSA (Personal Property Securities Act) agent with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. By 2012 Naveed moved into a new role as a Business/Funding Specialist with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.

Shortly after in March of 2012, Naveed was bit with the security bug and wanted to re-connect with the world of security but on a much different level. Naveed was searching for a company that entailed red carpet events, corporate events etc. and stumbled across Sentinel Security Plus. Naveed managed to make a big impression with resulted in joining the Sentinel family.

It did not take long for Naveed to prove himself as an above and beyond go-getter and by 2014 was promoted to a supervisor.

When Naveed is not crunching numbers with Mercedes or providing A star security service, he loves to explore the world with his wife. Naveed has travelled to South America, Europe and the Middle East, but his favourite place that he enjoyed the most with his wife was Florence and Venice.

But all these wonderful travel adventures will be put on hold at the moment as Naveed and his wife welcomed twins on October 8, 2016; Aaron Singh Robert and Jasmine Kaur Robert.
