One of the most common questions asked by new clientele is in regards to the calibre and quality of our security personnel. After all we do regularly preach that we are leaders in our industry. For us to make such a bold statement we need to ensure that we don’t just talk the talk but walk the talk.
In this new blog series entitled Humans of Sentinel we will be exploring week-to-week our security personnel and just what exactly makes them so special to Sentinel Security. For both existing and new clientele this will give you a great insiders view into the people you are hiring to represent your brand.
Last week we started off the blog series with Shawn Cooper. In part 2 we highlight Catalino Arroyo.

Catalino or Cat as we know him in the Sentinel circles has been with Sentinel Security since 2015. Even though Cat has only been working with us for just over a year, in his short time he has made some very large impressions with our clients in the way he delivers an above and beyond customer oriented service approach. But who exactly is Cat and what makes him valuable to Sentinel Security.
As a Law & Security graduate from Mohawk College with over 18 years of experience in various security roles and environments, Cat has a proven track record of providing exemplary levels of customer service and security ranging from the general public to high profile corporate executives, talent and celebrities.
Throughout his years in the security industry, Cat consistently attained supervisory and management positions where he participated in various group projects involving managing security teams, training new and seasoned security professionals and also as a member of sales teams to expand company clientele.

Prior to Sentinel, Cat was hired as a security trainer by the PANAM Olympic Committee to train new and seasoned recruits for the various events across the city. As a member of the Quality Assurance Team for the Pan American and Para Pan American games, some of his main responsibilities included travelling to venues and conducting evaluations on the teams assigned to these various locations as well offering on site training when needed and liaising with Venue Coordinators on site regarding any concerns or challenges they may be experiencing.
But security is just one piece of the pie with Cat.
Aside from being a security professional, Cat is also a financial advisor where he help's many families through education, financial planning and strategies.
With a busy routine of security and financial planning, Cat also is a trainer at the Fuji Yama Dojo. Not only is he a trainer but he currently participates in specialized training in all aspects of Classical Japanese Ko Ru Bujutsu: Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu, and Traditional Healing Arts.

Family is very important to Cat and he loves spending time with his wife and children doing simple things like going to the parks, watching his son's baseball game, fishing or just horsing-around. Just as important as family is to Cat so is his faith.
Cat explains " I guess that's why I started in Security and became a trainer, whether it was through security, martial arts, a dog trainer or as a financial advisor. I just like helping people however I can"
Stay tuned for next week as we continue to showcase our personnel and give you an insiders view into why we continue to be leaders in our industry.
